Installing with precompiled binaries
If you’re a Linux user or can’t/don’t want to use a package manager you can still download Roo in a standalone .zip file with everything you need to get started. You can find links to the latest binaries on the GitHub releases page. I provide precompiled binaries for macOS, 64-bit Windows, 64-bit Linux and the Raspberry Pi.

The Mac and Linux versions have one file and one folder:
roo [roo Libs]
The Raspberry Pi version of Roo depends upon the
libunwind library. Install that with the following command:
sudo apt-get install libunwind8
The Windows version includes several files:
roo.exe msvcp120.dll msvcp140.dll msvcr120.dll vccorlib140.dll vcruntime140.dll XojoConsoleFramework64.dll
I use a Mac and I usually place
roo Libs in /usr/local/bin.
